VICTIMS OF taxi pervert John Worboys have reacted with anger after it was announced he might get £300,000 of protection a year if he is set free from prison.
The former black cab rapist could be assigned security guards on a 24 / 7 basis if he is released after a judicial review due to take place on March 13.
But, women who were attacked by the cabbie have called the decision an “outrage”. One victim said:
Worboys’ release is a betrayal and an insult to his victims, who all suffered horrendous attacks. We still have to live with what he did to us but the Government will pay hundreds of pounds to protect him. How is that justice?
Worboys was jailed in 2009 on one count of rape, five sexual assaults and 12 charges of drugging female passengers.
