A SOUTH AFRICAN man is recovering in hospital after he was drugged and sexually assaulted “numerous” times over several days by three females in the North East of the country.
A police spokesman said the 23 year old man’s ordeal began when he hailed a communal taxi in Eastern Pretoria.Three women were already in the vehicle and he was told to sit in the front, where he was allegedly injected with an unknown substance.
South Africa police captain Colette Weibach said:
He stated that he woke up in an unfamiliar room on a single bed. The female suspects then allegedly forced the man to drink an energy drink before taking turns raping him numerous times a day.
The South African Police Service take all sexual offences seriously, regardless of the gender and we carry out robust investigations to bring offenders to justice.
According to official police figures, up to 20 per cent of sex assault cases in South Africa are reported by male victims.
