ESTONIAN START-UP firm Taxify is set to launch its cab-booking service in the capital of Portugal.
The company claims it has signed up more than 600 drivers and several thousand users, after launching in Paris in October and Australia in December.
Lisbon is a growing ride-hailing market with a lot of potential and we are excited to launch our platform here.
The Lisbon launch comes after Taxify was forced to pull out of London in the autumn last year after Transport for London raised concerns about its private hire operating licence.
A spokesman said: “Taxifiy is still in the process of applying for a new licence in London. There is no time-frame but we hope to be operating again within a few months.”
