A 28 year man has been arrested and bailed, with regards to the assault on 22 November 2015, and officers are now appealing for the taxi driver who drove the victim and the suspect to come forward.
A police spokesman said the man and the 18 year old girl travelled in the taxi together and were dropped off near to the Morden Underground station.
The suspect had hailed the cab at around 2:30am near to McDonald’s in Mitcham Road, Tooting, and picked up the teenage girl enroute.

Detectives now want to speak to the taxi driver, who is not a suspect, about the incident.
The victim is described as white, with medium length dark hair and wearing a black jacket, short skirt or dress and black boots.
The man who hailed the cab is described as white with a bald or shaved head and wearing a brown jacket.
