CHRISTMAS MAY be long gone but the London taxi trade was keen to keep the festive spirit alive with its ‘Five Days of Black Cab Protests Blocking Up Central London As Much As Possible’.
After protests at Elephant & Castle, Marble Arch and Parliament Square, the hackney trade boys and girls parked up on London Bridge for a couple of hours, to catch up with old friends and take a selfie or two on their mobile phones.
United only by its ability to trade insults between the various cab organisations on social media, the capital’s taxi trade did receive support however from their Parisian colleagues.
A tweet from @frenchtaxi read:
Full support to the taxis in London. Taxis and PHVs need fair and equitable regulation from a trustworthy regulator!
