DETECTIVES ARE APPEALING for witnesses after a man was stabbed over an argument about a taxi.
The 39 year old was assaulted outside Eton Heights in Whitehall Road, Woodford Green and received a knife injury to his leg.
Police say the man was attacked by a group of men and women after he left a party in one of the flats in the housing development. It is thought he was stabbed after he tried to get into a taxi.
The victim was taken to a hospital in East London with a knife wound and other injuries but was later discharged.
Redbridge CID is investigating and would like to speak to anyone who was at the party in the night in question.
Officers are also hoping to identify a dark coloured car – thought to be a Mitsubishi L200 – seen driving away from the scene just after the attack.
The stabbing is the second violent crime in Woodford Green in less than a month and the Metropolitan Police gang investigation squad Trident is now investigating.
