THE STRETCH limousine that carried astronaut John Glenn and the Apollo Crew during the Rose Bowl Parade in 1 January 1988 is now up for sale for just under $18,000

Ohio born John Glenn (18th June 1921 – 8th December 2016) was the first American to orbit the earth in February 1962 and in a long and distinguished career, served as an aviator, engineer, astronaut and senator.

The1987 Lincoln Town Car was made especially for the Rose Bowl Parade and has been kept in storage for the last 17 years in Arizona by Robert Harrell, the chief executive officer of the Speciality Vehicles Company.

The convertible stretch limousine is apparently in excellent condition for its age and mileage – 80,000 miles – and has more than $8,000 in receipts to highlight the previous client track record.
