A VEHICLE MUSEUM in North Illinois, USA, has acquired a 1988 Cadillac limousine once owned by the 45th president of the United States.
Volo Auto Museum director Brian Grams, whose family own the facility, said the latest edition to the car collection had, “gold-plated and rosewood interior embellishments”. He added however that he wasn’t making a political statement by buying a vehicle once owned by the president.
Mr Grams added:
The Volo Auto Museum is displaying this car for its place in automotive history and its historic significance only. It is not a reflection of the museum’s view on politics. The limo was built to be an office on wheels and has a fax machine, television, VCR, three telephones and a paper shredder. It also has an electric bar.
1988 BROUGHAM CADILLAC – Cadillac boss John Grettenberger and Donald Trump teamed up as partners in 1987 to build the ‘Trump Edition’ and showcased two early models – the Trump Golden Edition and the Trump Executive – at a US limousine and chauffeur trade show.
